story about a money

when someone's face gets smashes throw the grate of a sewer because a passerby had put him off balence as he walked on the curb, and he sees that inside the sewer is a $50 bill that he cant use because he'll be dead by the time he figures out what he saw. i doubt he suffered though, the bone in his nose went into his brain so i dont think he felt the rest of the bars smash up his mouth, but it was a pretty damn bloody affair. also when his blood splashed onto the bill it dislodged it from it's place in the sewer, and no one found it until the nation that used it had dissolved and they tore up the sewer system to make way for the new city. the murder was solved because that $50 bill was the last peice of evidence in the case. i guess. i'm not entirely sure that it was though, the chances of it being the video the found in the rubble of the old town were just as high. no one will know for sure as all the records were destroyed when the sun destroyed the planet after a freak miscalculation in physics caused the planet's star to expand to several times it's size that same day. but you know what they say; a watched pot never boils until it just gets really hot and explodes destroying a planet in the process.
